Just a day after re-affirming his support for a constitutional ban on gay marriage and two weeks after he “let go” his only high-profile gay spokesperson, we’re learning that Mitt Romney bullied closeted gay teens while he was at high school. According to a story in the Washington Post, Romney was so incensed when one student arrived at school with bleached blond hair, Romney and his friends mobbed him. The student “eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.”
On radio today (AUDIO ABOVE), Romney said he couldn’t remember the incident but he does remember he did some things that went over the line.
In another incident, Romney yelled “atta girl” when a student who was thought to be gay spoke up in class.
